DeKraaii LPC-MH, QMHP Life is a Journey, not a destination. After Completing a bachelor's degree at South Dakota State University, Jeff worked at Our Home Incorporated in Huron, South Dakota. After 2 years he move to the Black Hills to work in Deadwood as a Child Protection Social Worker for the South Dakota Department of Social Services. One year later he went to work for the Unified Judicial System as a Court services Officer. While while working for the UJS, he obtained his Masters in Counseling through South Dakota State University, and later went to work for the South Dakota Department of Corrections Juvenile Division in an Administrative capacity. In 2000 he went to work with Regional West Center for Behavioral health in Rapid City, working in the outpatient and inpatient psychiatric hospital ward performing individual, group and family psychotherapy. In 2009, he went to work full time with Black Hills Counseling Services. Jeff’s work includes hospital inpatient evaluation and treatment, clinical outpatient, group care, institutions, probation, aftercare, recovery, addictions, trauma and most mental health conditions with individuals ages 12 to 88 years of age, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Hypnotherapy, in individual, group, and family therapy settings. His Counseling Practice includes specialized work with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Brain Injuries, Neurological Disorders, Anger Management, Domestic Violence, and Corrective Thinking, using approaches pioneered by Stanton Samenow, William Glasser and Albert Ellis.
